Club Venezia

Club Venezia is a very upscale night-club, fully equipped with a velvet rope entrance, a beautiful hostess, and a muscular bouncer.  You will be asked if you are on a list, "who do you know", are you are member, blah blah blah.  But if you are a non-filipino foreigner and you look like you have money, they will let you in.  This is one of those times that it pays to look like a foreigner, as they are very strict about who they accept at the door.  One night I left the club to see a large crowd of young men (and a few attractive girls) negotiating with the hostess to gain entrance.  She turned most of them away.

Once inside the club, you will find that they paid close attention to detail.  The bar is very complete and the drinks are very upscale in their offerings.  The staff is very friendly and the music is great if you like Euro style music.  But it is a very classy place...if you are looking for a prostitute or a comfort girl, this is not the place for you.  If you want to hook up with a wealthy filipina, this is as good a location as any to get in with the "connected" crowd.  But if this is your first time in the Philippines, I would save this bar for your last night out, or maybe even your next trip.  It's worth a look, but most traveling gentlemen are better served elsewhere.
